Today I chose to paint some of my favorite Mary Jane shoes. Well, I started out to do that. My imagination quickly over took my paint brush and I sort of embellished them to create a few new pairs of shoes.
I keep meaning to simplify my designs, but they are getting more complicated, not less. Today my kids had a half day in school so this painting was broken up into little moments of my day. I ran out of time though, so there is a little blank corner. This project is all about the process, so I have to just be cool with that empty orange square just staring at me. If it starts to chafe at my spirit, I shall just chant, “It’s all about the process, it’s all about the process.“
